Dr Liz Marr
Dr Liz Marr is a former Pro-Vice-Chancellor: Students at The Open University and now a Fellow at the University of London Centre for Online and Distance Education. She was a member of the Milton Keynes College board for over ten years, serving as Vice Chair for most of those. She was also, for 8 years, a member of the Supervisory Board of the European Association of Distance Teaching Universities, serving two terms as Vice President and one term as President. She received the 2023 Milton Keynes Women Leaders award for Skills Education and Training, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Universities Association for Lifelong Learning and an Honorary Award for Excellence in Continuing Education, University of Cambridge. She is passionate about opening opportunity for all who wish to participate in learning, both formally and informally, personally mentoring many people on their leadership journeys. She currently sits as a trustee on the board of the University of the Built Environment (formerly University College of Estate Management), and as a trustee of UALL (Universities Association for Lifelong Learning). She is a FACE (Forum for Access and Continuing Education), advisory board member, a member of the international advisory board of the European University Alliance, Una Europa and a member of the External Quality assurance advisory board of YUFE (Young Universities for Europe).
